Orford heritage and pub walk

Orford is a small town on the Suffolk coast in England. It is definitely not surprising that Orford is much of a buzz to visitors from far and wide. This town is replete with history, stunning pieces of architecture, and breathtaking natural beauty.

Most renowned in Orford is the 12th-century Orford Castle. This great fort was constructed during the reign of King Henry II and still remains, though standardly. It is possible to climb to the top of this castle’s tower in order to grasp later views of the entire town along with the countryside that surrounds. The town has many more historical sites besides the castle; for example, the St. Bartholomew’s Church, being a magnificent piece of Norman architecture.

Also famous for its delicious seafood, especially fresh oysters, that are caught in the nearby creek and served in local pubs and restaurants. Orford has something for everyone: a history lover, a foodie, or a person just looking to relax in a weekend getaway.
