Thorpeness to the Bird Reserve
This 7.5 kilometer stretch from Thorpeness village takes walkers along some of the most stunning parts of Suffolk’s coast. Along the way, you will pass the Thorpeness Meare, a boating lake built in 1911 with a mix of birdlife, wildflowers, and wetlands. You’ll also take time to explore the Aldringham Walks and enjoy views over the Bird Reserve before heading back towards your starting point.

Follow the River Alde as it winds its way past heathland and coastal wetlands, with wildflowers and wading birds highlighting the route.
